Problem: Business Operations teams need to monitor order consumption of Allocations to determine proper mix and adjustment actions. There is no dynamic, real-time method for this in the standard system Solution: The report allows the business team to set search criteria on Allocation consumption and then quickly view SCM data to find what CVCs are within or outside of the selected ranges. Performance is 10-12x faster than viewing data in the Interactive Planning Book (click here for a demo of the report)

Sub Item Suppression for Rules-based ATP
Problem: When implementing the rules-based ATP check, the sales order will create sub items for the found material and plant substitutions. This has the negative effect that every subsequent new ATP check will always delete all sub items before performing a new ATP check for the main item. All previously performed manual changes to sub items (like pricing conditions, texts, ...) are lost and promised delivery dates can fluctuate. The rework on downstream system to manage this data condition is normally measured in thousands of man-hours sourcing (location substitution) and in most cases they just have one substitution plant. Solution: The report allows the business team to set search criteria on Allocation consumption and then quickly view SCM data to find what CVCs are within or outside of the selected ranges. Performance is 10-12x faster than viewing data in the Interactive Planning Book (click here for a demo of the report).

Back Order Processing (BOP) Optimization
Problem: There are a number of shortcoming with back order processing associated with the inability of the client to control existing order confirmations while scheduling new order optimally. Solution: Allow BOP iterations that will improve order confirmations if the data conditions allow but not shift any existing confirmation to be worse than previously committed.

Delivery Quantity Capture for Product Allocations
Problem: when orders consume Allocations, partial delivery quantities do not update the Allocation consumption to show that there are still units available to consume. Solution: The deliver quantities will be posted into the Allocation tables and update the Incoming Order consumption quantities so that the true Allocation consumption is reflected.

Unconfirmed Order Report due to Allocation Shortages
Problem: Customer currently has no way to query their Allocation data to show sales orders that were not fully confirmed due to Allocation shortages so the business intelligence that is available at the time of order capture is lost. Solution: A new report that will display unconfirmed or partially confirmed sales order data with reference to the Allocation “buckets” that were fully consumed thus leading to the delinquency.

Flexible Period Allocation Distribution
Problem: Requirement from forecast, marketing or production requires a flexible distribution of periods in product allocation between organizations. Standard SAP just enable period handling in a limited way. Solution: Enable the use of a combination of organization schemes according to marketing, production or forecast with great flexibility in backward, present or forward consumption (not available in allocations). The application of complex schemes is limited by SAP, this accelerator overcomes the limitation.
Combination of Basic Methods and Production
Problem: SAP triggers the execution of Production either after analyzing the GATP basic methods or without considering them at all, this has the limitation of having a possible confirmation from both sources in an earlier date than the one determined by either procedure. Solution: This accelerator enables the system to decide which is the best available date provided by the results from BOTH procedures - basic methods and production.
Do you know which product or customer has consumed 100% of their allocation and risks having orders blocked? Do you know who has consumed less than their allocation and therefore presents an opportunity to remix to another customer who has additional demand? Would you like a report that lets you set criteria on Allocation consumption and then have it search through your CVCs to let you know where your business threshold have been violated?
Then this Product Allocation Threshold Report is for you. The report allows the business team to set criteria on Allocation consumption and then quickly search through the SCM data to find what CVCs are with or outside of the selected ranges. A perfect complement to your GATP Product Allocation implementation

SCM Module: GATP Function: Rules-Based ATP Capability: Supressing Subline Items
When implementing the rules-based ATP check, the SD sales order will create sub items for the found material and plant substitutions.Besides implementation work on SD side, this has some other negative impact. Every subsequent new ATP check will always delete all sub items before performing a new ATP check for the main item. So all previously performed manual changes to sub items (like pricing conditions, texts, ...) are lost and promised delivery dates can fluctuate. Many customers use the rules-based ATP check only for sourcing (location substitution) and in most cases they just have one substitution plant.
We have a workaround solution to solve this problem which will exchange the plant on the main item without creating sub items in the sales order. It's a modification which can be implemented on the R/3/ECC side and it is also compatible with the APO backorder processing.
